ferrets? Then you will love this online store. I had one ferret (rest his sole)
and I bought several items from The Ferret Store for him. Now that he is gone, I
continue to order Ferret related things for my sister’s ferret. The Ferret
Store is not just for ferrets though as they indicate. They carry many things
for other pets as well. I will go into some detail for you in this review.
In relation to ferrets, The Ferret Store has about anything that your
ferret would like to own. There is anything from training manuals to memorials.
Yes, there are many of us pet lovers out there that actually bury our pets with
memorials or headstones. I have two cats buried that have accompanying
headstones. (small ones) Not everyone has that privilege of being able to bury
their beloved pets on their own property. I have other friend’s pets buried on
our land for that reason. Enough of that, back to the review.
At the Ferret Store you will find cute things like hammocks, tents, and
play homes. You will also find toys of all sorts such as balls, tubes, stuffed
animals, and edible chew toys. There are clothes for your ferret. Adorable! As
for memorials, there are cute little caskets and nice wooden boxes that you may
bury your loved ferret in when s/he passes on to the great ferret world in the
sky.
The Ferret Store has many health aids too. There are vitamins, cold
remedies, nursing stuff, eye care items, and even holistic treatments for
ferrets. You can purchase food and many nutritional treats here also. They carry
a good selection of food storage containers that will hold up to 80 pounds of
ferret food or other pet food.
There are many styles of cages to select from. You will be able to find
the perfect cage to accommodate your precious ferret here. You will find a
section with cage accessories if you desire them.
One downfall that I have encountered is the fact that the Ferret Store
does not have a great selection of feeding bowls or water dispensers. But you
can always find them at Wal-Mart without any problem.
Feeling a bit jealous that your ferret is getting more than you? Not a
problem. The Ferret Store has loads of Ferret related people stuff too! You
won’t believe all the things that you can buy yourself here. Mugs, photo
frames, mouse pads, sun catchers, ceramics, cleaning supplies, buttons, magnets,
clothing, posters, costume jewelry, 14k and silver ferret jewelry, automotive
stuff, plush pets, cabinet locks (you know how nosy a ferret is), aroma therapy,
paper goods, holiday stuff, and even a ferret puzzle! You are going to have fun
in the people section.
Now there are other sections for various pets and they have a great
selection of items for you to choose from. As a matter of fact, the selection
for cats and dogs is just as great as for the ferrets. I don’t wish to list
everything because it would cover just about what the ferret category contains,
with an additional few items that relate to the species.
I would like to mention that I’m somewhat disappointed with the bird
category. There is not a great selection in that area. But I suppose that it
would be satisfactory for basic needs. The Ferret Store does carry some items
for these pets as well: rat and mouse, chinchillas, guinea pigs, hedgehogs,
rabbits, gerbils, hamsters, and prairie dogs. PRAIRIE DOGS? Good grief! Anyway,
they do carry some reptile stuff too, as well as a bit a zoological diet things.
All in all, a great variety of stuff for a wide range of pets.
Pricing: It is my belief that The Ferret Store is quite reasonable in
their pricing. It definitely compares with that of other online stores, if not
cheaper in some cases and it also competes with off line stores as well.
Customer service is dependable and helpful. The Ferret Store offers a
nice array of payment options including: Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Novis/Discover,
Diners Club, JCB card, checks by phone or snail mail, and Money orders. As you
can see, you will not have a problem finding some way to pay for your items. You
may also fax your order.
Shipping is reasonable. Free after $20 is as reasonable as it gets next
to being completely free. If you wish to cancel an item after it has already
been shipped and is in route to you, they will charge you a $10 fee. Orders less
than $20 will cost you $4.95. You can have your order shipped via UPS, Fed Ex,
or USPC. They will select the most economical way to ship and if you wish to
specify a shipping method, you will be charged a .99 cent fee for that. Orders
are shipped within 24- 48 hours. Unless it is not in stock. Of course there will
be additional shipping charges for Hawaii and Alaska and PR and USVI. Sorry.
The Ferret Store offers a 30-day guarantee and all returns must be post
marked prior to that 30 day cut off.
