I guess you could say I have a love/hate relationship with Strawberrynet.com. Believe it or not I visited Strawberrynet.com about eight times before making a purchase. I find shopping online very easy and convenient, so why did it take me so long? The website is very cluttered, though bright, cheerful and cute. For providing so much, I suppose it is somewhat well organized, but because they are trying to do too much, it gets in its own way, and is very awkward and overwhelming. However, I was looking for a particular product at the best possible price, and searched what seemed to be the entire web, before finally returning to this site. They offered not only the product, but the lowest price, free shipping worldwide, and would have gift-wrapped it for me at no cost if I so desired. Once I got past the frustration of the website itself, and got to the ordering process, it was very simple and a pleasure.

I shall just list a handful of the manufacturers listed. Anna Siu, Christian Dior, Estee lauder, Guerlain, Lancome, M.A.C., Sisley, Urban Decay, Versace, YSL, Perry Ellis. Their selection of actual products is not extensive, but you will find hundreds of listed manufacturers.

Search Process:

Here is where we run into difficulties. They do offer numerous options for searching on the site. Most of the options are very time-consuming and frustrating.

1. If you click on the product search tab, you can input a description of the product you are looking for.
2. You may click on an up or down arrow to find a manufacturer.
3. You may search by product name, and if you know the exact name you may find it.
4. The other method is by selecting one of the tabs, i.e. skincare, which will then take you to a list of manufacturers on a scrollbar, listed alphabetically on the left hand side. The only method I found very effective was this last one.

Therefore, if you know exactly what you are looking for, and the exact product name, and use the right search method, you will probably be successful. If not, you will probably become very irritated or upset, and perhaps as I did, many times, just shake your head, and leave the site.

The Purchasing Process:

I finally (8th time was the charm) purchased the product I was looking for, and placed it in the shopping cart. I went to checkout, selected my method of payment, input shipping location, etc. It was all done very securely and efficiently. I was shown all charges, received a confirmation email, and another email when the product was shipped. My order was received right on time, but I was rather shocked to see it was not sent from Menlo Park, California as I expected. It was sent from Hong Kong. I was revived with smelling salts, and then decided I didn't care where it came from. I didn't pay for the shipping costs!

Final Thoughts:

It seems this site could be made much more efficient, and less painful to navigate and search. I can't recommend the site for easy navigation or simple searching capabilities. However, I can recommend it highly for the hundreds of available manufacturers, discount prices, free worldwide shipping. If you can get past the awkward and frustrating website, you'll appreciate what strawberrynet has to offer. I am giving it 3 1/2 stars overall, considering its benefits and liabilities.
